Lead Physiotherapist

Job Summary
This is a challenging and rewarding role for a Lead Physiotherapist to join our team at NHS Lanarkshire. As a Specialist Physiotherapy Lead, you will be responsible for leading a designated clinical area and managing a caseload of patient assessments, diagnoses, treatments, and discharges.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and educate more junior staff, physiotherapy support workers, and students within the speciality.
- Provide a specialized resource to other healthcare staff, patients, and carers.
- Be actively involved in Clinical Governance and Clinical Effectiveness and Research.
Requirements
- Registered Physiotherapist with valid HCPC Registration.
- Educated to/working towards/operating at Degree Level.
- Postgraduate expertise within speciality/area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge to lead safely, effectively, and efficiently.
- Comprehensive knowledge of clinical guidelines and standards within the speciality/area of practice.
- Specialist knowledge and experience of relevant conditions, pathology, policies, and procedures associated with the speciality/area of practice.
- Leadership skills to enable the day-to-day management of service delivery.
- Excellent team-working/leadership skills and ability to motivate others and work using own initiative.
- Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Effective time management skills.
- Working knowledge of basic information technology.
Contract Details
- Permanent
- Part-time
- 33.40 hours
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Physiotherapy within Douglas House Cottage.
