Position: Metal Fabrication Specialist

Location: Rochester, Kent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Day Shift (39 hours per week)

Compensation:
£17 per hour

Regular overtime available at 1.5x rate

Alexandrite Recruitment is looking for a skilled and experienced Metal Fabrication Specialist to become a vital part of our client's dedicated team on a full-time, permanent basis.


The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in metal fabrication, with a minimum of 5 years in the field. They should demonstrate proficiency in the processes of forming, bending, and shaping various metals, adhering to technical specifications using both traditional hand tools and modern machinery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and work from technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Maintain precision while working to fine limit tolerances.
  • Demonstrate experience with a variety of metals including aluminum, stainless steel, mild steel, copper, and brass.
  • Operate and program CNC and manual brake presses.
  • Utilize fly presses, rollers, and hand tools for shaping and forming.
  • Perform drilling, countersinking, guillotining, and sawing tasks.
  • Engage in sub-assembly work, including deburring, sanding, and polishing.
