We are seeking a skilled Land Cable Technician to join our team at Alcatel Submarine Networks. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting site surveys, engineering design, and production of drawings for installation.

Key Responsibilities

* Conduct site surveys, including earth resistivity measurements
* Engineer design of Land Cable and System Earth installations
* Produce drawings for installation, including Land Route Diagrams
* As-built reporting of site surveys and installation
* Unrepeatered system testing, both on land and at sea
* Jointing and testing of Land Cable, Beach Joints, and System Earths
* Cable termination to ASN Terminal Station Equipment
* Liaise with the Calais cable factory and project teams
* Detail procedures and complete H&S Risk Assessments

Requirements

* Technical education
* Suitable for recent completion of electrical/mechanical apprenticeship or worked in telecommunications installation
* Practical and hands-on aptitude and willingness to travel

Training Provided

* Type-C ASN Land Joint Qualification
* Fibre-Optic testing and cable-handling
* Laser Safety, Power Safety, and Confined Spaces training
