Laboratory Operations Manager

Responsibilities:
* Organize and manage laboratory staff to ensure the maintenance of good laboratory practice and adherence to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and RSA requirements.
* Monitor and support activities in main laboratory, subbing, and streaking, as well as sample registration, plate reading, and approvals teams.
* Ensure all samples are handled and processed in accordance with One Scientific Ltd Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
* Identify and address non-conforming records and ensure that records of laboratory staff qualifications, technical competence, and experience are maintained.
* Administer and process clocking records and provide this information to payroll each month.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
* Ensure the maintenance of accurate laboratory records, including daily, weekly, or monthly proformas.
* Provide accurate KPI data to the Head of Operations (Microbiology) and take action where necessary.
Health and Safety:
* Wear appropriate protective clothing and equipment when in the laboratory.
* Monitor and ensure all safety, hygiene, and health and safety requirements are adhered to within the laboratory.
* Organize the cleaning schedule to ensure the laboratory is kept clean and tidy.
