Job Description

Role Overview:

GSL Education is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing personalized education to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Personalized Education: Develop and implement tailored teaching plans to meet the unique needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, Dyslexia, and more.
  • Empower and Inspire: Create a supportive and engaging learning environment, helping students thrive academically and emotionally.

Teaching Requirements:

  • Teaching Experience: Proven experience in teaching up to GCSE level (English or Maths preferable but not essential).
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility, creativity, and adaptability to thrive in our busy school environment.
  • Lesson Planning: Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to our pupils' diverse needs.
  • Continuous Professional Development: Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of current research in education.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Relationship Building: Passion for building strong relationships with staff and pupils.
  • Leadership and IT Skills: Strong IT skills and ability to lead others proactively.

Requirements:

  • Right to Work in the UK: Must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Up-to-Date CV and References: Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • DBS Registration: Have a DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
