Job Summary:

Satchell Moran Solicitors Limited is seeking a skilled Housing Disrepair Litigator to join our team. As a key member of our litigation department, you will be responsible for handling a caseload of litigated cases, including Housing Disrepair claims.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and vet claims documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Liaise with clients, defendants, and third parties to resolve disputes and negotiate settlements
  • Draft and submit Letters of Claim, Pre-Action Applications, and advice letters to clients
  • Calculate damages and prepare financial reports
  • Draft and submit court documents, including Particulars of Claim, Replies to Defence, witness statements, and trial bundles
  • Manage a caseload of 50% litigated cases and meet deadlines
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including clients and other professionals

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience in running litigated caseloads, preferably in Housing Disrepair
  • Experience with Proclaim or similar case management software
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Benefits:

  • An attractive package of up to £60,000 per year, including a bonus scheme and company pension
  • On-site parking and a dynamic work environment

Working Hours:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday
