Job Summary:The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all food safety and quality standards are met and maintained throughout the food production processes and warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement food safety management systems to ensure product quality standards are understood, met, and communicated.
- Establish and enforce quality control procedures throughout the food production processes and warehouse, from raw materials to finished products.
- Support the development and implementation of CSR strategies.
- Develop policies relating to ethical and sustainable business requirements.
- Implement and manage a robust customer complaint and product NCR system, ensuring complaints are dealt with in a timely manner and findings are reported back to the customer and/or internal colleagues.
- Support the management of HACCP processes across the business to ensure base standards are in place and adhered to in order to meet food safety, legal, and quality requirements.
- Ensure NPD own brand HACCP requirements are written and recorded.
- Provide technical expertise to improve own brand NPD and manufacturing processes.
- Write, implement, and manage Microbiological & Chemistry management System ensuring food safety requirements are adhered to, ensuring all testing is carried out in a clearly defined timeframe.
- Food Safety and HACCP level 3.
- Ideal candidate will have a background in fresh produce.
- Comprehensive understanding of legal, ethical, and technical process requirements to ensure food safety, environmental standards, legality, and customer requirements are met.
- First-class relationship building skills along with good planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to identify errors to raise standards and quality to achieve continuous improvement.
- Strong personal qualities aligned with our values and a calm approach to work.
