Role Responsibilities

As the Fashion Editor, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of the fashion landscape and your expertise in writing and editing to fulfill the following key responsibilities:

  • Generate daily content ideas focused on the fashion retail sector, contributing to the monthly print edition with diverse topics that influence the industry.
  • Edit articles for both print and digital platforms, ensuring they are aligned with the latest industry developments.
  • Engage with industry leaders to source insightful comments and perspectives.
  • Oversee the fashion features section, determining the breadth and depth of coverage across various sectors.
  • Manage the production of all fashion-related content, including features, interviews, brand spotlights, and trend analyses.
  • Direct and style seasonal special editions and editorial photoshoots, overseeing all aspects from concept to execution.
  • Coordinate comprehensive coverage of catwalk shows, including trend analysis.
  • Develop and manage the strategy for seasonal trade show coverage.
  • Collaborate closely with the art and production teams to ensure high-quality presentation of all content, proposing innovative design and layout ideas.
  • Contribute to the weekly newsletter by writing timely updates on fashion retail news.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • NCTJ qualification or equivalent journalism training/experience.
  • Proven experience in managing editorial photoshoots from start to finish.
  • Strong background in writing and editing long-form features, along with interviewing senior industry figures.

Work Environment
