Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team at Prime Appointments. As an Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and programming PLC-based electrical control systems, touchscreens, and controls for our clients in the production line equipment industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and programming PLC-based electrical control systems from design specifications
• Configuring Remote I/O, servo motor, and inverter drives
• Integrating ancillary equipment into production lines, such as vision systems
• Fault finding on electrical control systems, PLCs, and hardwired systems
• Commissioning, support, and service work at customers' sites

Requirements:

• Previous experience of PLC programming, touchscreens, and controls
• Good understanding of electrical drawings, control panel specifications, and design
• Good understanding of Vision and SCADA systems
• Experience within the pharmaceutical industry is advantageous
• Experience of explosive atmosphere regulations is desirable
• Willingness to undertake overseas travel on occasion

• 37.5 hours per week on a flexitime basis
• 23 days holiday plus discretionary days and bank holidays
