**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Trainee Computing Lecturer to join our Health Sciences, Meditech and Technology department at Bradford College.

This is an ideal role for candidates with academic or industrial experience in the IT sector, eager to venture into teaching and contribute to the development of our students' knowledge and skills.

The post holder will be responsible for delivering outstanding teaching and learning to inspire, motivate and develop our students' knowledge and skills, subsequently contributing to their own professional growth and sharpening of skills.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • To teach on courses specified by the Head of Department/Head of School, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for our students.
  • To motivate and build self-esteem and self-worth/self-belief, developing a 'can do' attitude with students, and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • To communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents/carers, conveying relevant information about attainment, objectives, and progress.
  • To participate in open events and parents/student consultation evenings, providing opportunities for students to engage with their learning.
  • To participate actively in the development of curriculum, and where appropriate, in cross-College curriculum development, ensuring our programs remain relevant and effective.
  • To devise individual learning plans and provide support for learners in line with the requirements of the course, promoting student success and well-being.
  • To devise Plans of Learning for the taught curriculum, ensuring clear learning objectives and outcomes.
  • To be responsible for the supervision and management of students on placements and offsite visits and activities, ensuring student safety and well-being.
  • To act as academic and pastoral tutor to assigned students, providing guidance and support throughout their academic journey.
