This position requires a commitment of five days a week.

Addressing homelessness is a critical challenge in the UK. Assisting individuals who have faced homelessness is a fulfilling career where you can create a meaningful impact on lives daily. Our organization manages a supported housing initiative that provides essential accommodation for individuals who have encountered homelessness. A genuine enthusiasm for helping others is crucial for this position.

Why Choose CURO?

  • Our ethical principles ensure consistent and respectful treatment of all individuals, even in challenging situations.
  • Trust is essential, as we rely on our team, clients, colleagues, and partners to act with integrity and make sound decisions.

Your Responsibilities

As a Supportive Housing Facilitator, you will engage with individuals who:

  • Have experienced trauma and periods of homelessness, and you will assist them in connecting with necessary services while empowering them to realize their potential.
  • May have faced challenges such as mental health issues, substance abuse, domestic violence, trauma, and financial hardships, collaborating with your team and other professionals to identify and manage safeguarding cases effectively.
  • Need support in maintaining their tenancies and preparing for future independence. You will work alongside various partner organizations to create pathways for individuals to transition successfully into sustainable housing.

Your efforts will significantly enhance the lives of our clients every day.

About You

To excel in this role, you should be ready to engage fully, understanding that each day will present unique challenges. This may involve working with individuals in crisis one day and participating in community events or workshops the next.

The ideal Supportive Housing Facilitator will:

  • Have a passion for working with vulnerable populations and assisting them in achieving their objectives.
  • Be skilled in building effective relationships with a diverse range of individuals, including clients and colleagues, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Be comfortable navigating difficult conversations, maintaining confidence and firmness while being respectful and considerate.
  • Possess the ability to listen and discern the true needs of our clients, committed to achieving the best possible outcomes.
  • Have solid administrative skills and experience in maintaining accurate records.
  • Understand the importance of support planning, risk assessment, and motivating individuals to recognize and achieve their goals.
  • Exhibit resilience and an understanding of the challenges faced by individuals in supported housing.
  • Be capable of working effectively without judgment, while maintaining professional boundaries.

If you meet these criteria, you may be the right fit for our team.

We value resilience and the desire to work in a dynamic environment where each day is distinct.

What We Offer

In return for your dedication, we offer:

  • 26 days of annual leave (plus public holidays), increasing to 29 days after three years of service.
  • An additional day off on your birthday.
  • A contributory pension scheme, with CURO matching contributions up to 10%.
  • Annual rewards for outstanding contributions.
  • Life assurance coverage (up to six times your annual salary).
  • Flexible benefits, including the option to purchase additional annual leave, gym memberships, health cash plans, and more.
  • Access to numerous discounts through our perks program.
