Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer to join our team at phs Group. As an Electrical Test and Inspection Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections and testing on customer electrical installations, including emergency lighting testing, fire alarm inspections, mains analysis, thermal imaging, and small remedial repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out inspections and testing on customer electrical installations
  • Completing relevant reports and certification associated with inspections and testing
  • Ensuring all reports and certification are completed and submitted on time
  • Carrying out LED lighting replacements in hours and out of hours, in line with project schedules

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary of £39,000 - £40,950, with average earnings of circa £56,500 (base salary plus bonus, on-call, overtime/weekends, and paid travel time)
  • Realistic earning potential excluding overtime on weekends circa £46,207

Requirements:

  • Flexibility to work 40 hours per week, including evening/twilight shifts to support customers' requirements
  • Travelling to sites across ROI and flexibility to stop over when required
  • Full UK driving licence, with 6 points or less
  • SVQ level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 part 1 & 2 qualification OR equivalent Level 3 NQV
  • City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification
  • City & Guilds 2391/2394 & 2395
  • AM2 or equivalent
  • IPAF 3a & 3b licence
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Experience working in an electrical testing environment
  • Experience with electrical installation/project work – Specifically commercial lighting replacements
  • Understanding of UK Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace
  • Successful candidate will need to meet the requirements of an enhanced DBS check
