About the Role

We are seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join our team at a secondary school in Lewisham. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will provide support to students with challenging behaviour or special needs, working closely with the behavioural team and SEND Coordinator to develop strategies for supporting pupils both individually and in groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with behavioural difficulties
  • Run small groups or interventions for students with behavioural challenges
  • Assist students with learning difficulties by providing them with learning materials
  • Work closely with other members of the behavioural team and the SEND Coordinator
  • Plan and develop strategies for supporting pupils both individually and in groups
  • Organise and supervise extracurricular activities during lunchtime and outside of school hours
  • Support pupils who experience difficulties during breaks by organising lunchtime activities
  • Provide students with a variety of strategies for managing and resolving conflicts
About the School

Our school is a six-form entry school with approximately 1,000 students. We have a highly qualified teaching staff who are able to support a wide range of needs. We also have a nurture program that assists students who have difficulty fitting into their classes.
