About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Relief Chef to join our team at ESS, a leading provider of food and support services to the Defence, Government, and Energy sectors. As a Relief Chef, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional food experiences to our clients and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve high-quality food that meets the expectations of our clients and customers.
  • Oversee and implement menu changes to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Identify opportunities to improve our food services and implement changes to enhance the customer experience.
  • Listen to customer feedback and use it to inform menu development and service improvements.
  • Support the creation of new menus and food concepts to drive business growth.
  • Represent ESS and maintain a positive brand image through excellent customer service and food quality.
  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure our kitchens are well-stocked and maintain high standards of hygiene and safety.

Requirements:

  • Passion for great-tasting food and exceptional customer service.
  • City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent in culinary arts.
  • Experience supervising a team and managing kitchen operations.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
