Job Description

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and experienced Lead Data Scientist to join our team at 1-800 Water Damage of Greater Tucson. As our Lead Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in driving our data-driven initiatives forward and leveraging cutting-edge analytics techniques to uncover valuable insights that drive tangible results for our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, providing guidance and support in the development and execution of data science projects that drive business growth and innovation.
  2. Advanced Analytics: Design and implement sophisticated analytics models and algorithms to extract insights from large, complex datasets related to water damage restoration and recovery.
  3. Predictive Modeling: Develop predictive and prescriptive models to optimize business processes and decision-making, ensuring the highest level of quality and accuracy in our restoration services.
  4. Business Collaboration: Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging data analytics to drive business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance our market position.
  5. Staying Current: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning techniques, and apply them to solve complex business challenges related to water damage restoration.
  6. Communication: Communicate findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear and impactful visualizations and presentations, ensuring that our data-driven decisions are well-informed and effective.

Requirements:
  1. Advanced Degree: Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  2. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data science role, with a track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions in the water damage restoration industry.
  3. Expertise: Strong expertise in statistical modeling, machine learning, and predictive analytics, with a focus on big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks.
  4. Programming Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, with experience in natural language processing (NLP) and text mining a plus.
  5. Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  6. Leadership: Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and guide a team, with a focus on collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
