Principal Flood Risk Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Flood Risk Consultant to join our Water Environment team in Bristol. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading flood risk assessments and developing relationships with clients and regulators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement flood risk assessment strategies for clients
  • Lead and manage projects, including budgetary control and work winning
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities to deliver projects
  • Conduct research and business development to identify new opportunities
  • Attend client and regulatory meetings to present project findings and recommendations

Requirements:

  • Strong Bachelor's degree in a water-related subject, with a higher degree and/or industry experience as a senior modeler
  • Substantial experience in flood risk assessments, hydrological and hydraulic modeling, and flood modeling software
  • Good understanding of the Environment Agency and Lead Local Flood Authorities, as well as current planning policies and procedures
