Key Responsibilities:
In the role of Site Operations Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Regional Civils team to ensure the successful execution of various civil engineering projects under the Southwest Environment Agency Collaborative Delivery Framework, where Kier operates as the Principal Contractor. Your responsibilities will include overseeing Earthworks, Concrete works, and Drainage works to guarantee precision, uphold quality standards, maintain thorough records, prevent any abortive or defective work, and ensure that project timelines are met.
Your daily tasks will encompass:
Delivering work packages according to established schedules and coordinating with operational teams. Participating in regular meetings to facilitate effective communication, report on project progress, identify challenges, and document any variations in the scope of work both internally and externally. Prioritizing Health and Safety by ensuring all risk assessments are completed and adhered to, in line with Kier's Health and Safety policies and procedures. Managing the coordination of operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers within your designated work area, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of customer satisfaction.Ideal Candidate Profile:
The position of Site Operations Manager is ideal for you if you possess:
A valid CSCS Gold Card and SMSTS certification. First Aid Training and a strong awareness of Health and Safety practices. Knowledge of commercial and temporary works.
