Position Overview

Senior Academic in Sport Management (Associate Professor)

Salary Range: £57,696 - £64,914 per annum

Loughborough University is seeking a dedicated and innovative individual to fill the role of Senior Academic in Sport Management.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our research, innovation, and educational offerings, particularly within the Sport Management and Sport Sociology Learning and Teaching Discipline Group.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting educational initiatives and enriching the student experience in our Sport Management programs, especially at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Demonstrating a strong academic background in areas such as:
    • Sport business analytics and data science;
    • Sport technology and innovation management;
    • Sport economics and finance;
    • Strategic event management.

The ideal candidate will possess a distinguished independent record in research and/or innovation within the field of Sport Management. We particularly encourage applications from individuals whose research aligns with the school's existing priorities, including women's sport, sustainability, and advancements in AI and digital technologies.
