Account Manager Opportunity

INFICON is seeking a skilled Account Manager to join our Inhouse Sales team. This role will focus on managing and nurturing relationships with smaller accounts across UK & Ireland, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with field accounts, understanding their business needs, and ensuring INFICON products and services align with their goals.
  • Customer Support: Act as the main point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional service to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Growth: Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts, contributing to overall sales targets and company growth.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the technical, marketing, and product teams to ensure a seamless customer experience and to develop tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and account status using CRM software. Prepare regular reports on account performance and sales forecasts.
  • Market Observation: Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to effectively position INFICON's products and services.
Requirements:
  • Completed commercial or technical oriented apprenticeship, NVQ level 3 or 4 or A-level qualifications required; ideally in engineering or the sciences.
  • Around 1-3 years of experience in account management, sales, or a related role, ideally within the technology, industrial, service, or hospitality sectors.
  • Technical basic knowledge of Chemistry, Physics, and Vacuum is a plus.
  • Personal skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
    • Autonomy and Motivation. Highly motivated with the ability to work unsupervised.
    • Customer-oriented thinking and acting.
    • A good technical understanding and technical affinity.
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and a good aptitude towards computers.
    • Analytical mindset with the ability to understand complex technical information and translate it into customer solutions.
    • Self-motivated, with a results-driven approach and a passion for customer service.
    • Self-organised and structured way of working.
  • Excellent English communication skills, German language would be an advantage.
