We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Manager to join our team at JSS Search. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organization.

In this role, you will report directly to the Finance Director and be responsible for managing a small team to ensure the delivery of financial work. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the finance team, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Developing and maintaining financial controls and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management.
  • Preparing financial reports, including month-end, flash management accounts, and monthly management accounts with variance analysis.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the annual budget and forecast.
  • Reviewing payment runs and setting up payment files within the bank.
  • Assisting in statutory deadlines, including managing the year-end audit process.
  • Working closely with non-finance teams to provide financial guidance and support.
  • Preparing the monthly board pack and assisting in the preparation of the annual budget pack.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A qualified accounting background (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or overseas equivalent).
  • Post-qualified experience in an accounting or financial management role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both finance and non-finance teams.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with financial software.
