Position Overview:
We are seeking a Junior Estimator Trainee to join our Aberdeen team. In this role, you will collaborate with a seasoned team and undertake the following responsibilities:
  • Organizing and verifying Tender Documents electronically
  • Preparing inquiries related to tender documents
  • Logging and modifying tenders using Estimating Software (ConQuest)
  • Inputting Bill of Quantities into Estimating Software (ConQuest)
  • Preparing tender document inquiries on Estimating Software (ConQuest)
  • Participating in site visits with team members to assess preliminary requirements, site limitations, risks, and opportunities
  • Managing incoming and outgoing telephone communications within the department
  • Reviewing and reporting on supply chain quotations
  • Overseeing the management of subcontractors and suppliers database
  • Coordinating with Subcontractors/Suppliers, Design Teams, and Clients
  • Attending and contributing to various tender process meetings
  • Engaging in estimating and cost planning activities
  • Maintaining both electronic and physical filing systems, including archiving
  • Preparing tender submissions in accordance with client specifications

Candidate Profile:
Are you:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook?
  • Able to meet challenging time and quality standards?

Do you possess:
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills?
  • The ability to work effectively within a team?

Training & Development:

As part of your professional growth, you will be enrolled in a Technical College or University program with day release to pursue a degree in a relevant construction discipline.
