Mental Health Practitioner for Young Adults

As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will work with young adults aged 11-18/18-25, providing high-quality mental health services and building relationships with educational, vocational, and leisure facilities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Collaborating with our team to support young people in their mental health recovery journey
* Managing a caseload of young people, guiding them through their recovery and helping them achieve their goals
* Providing a user-centred, holistic service that fosters recovery, safety, and positive risk-taking
* Coordinating with health and social care organisations, schools, and further education institutions to offer appropriate referrals
* Working with community partners to help young people find and maintain suitable employment, education, and volunteering opportunities
* Participating in the establishment and operation of service user groups
* Maintaining accurate electronic records and offering specialist assessments and holistic interventions
* Collaboratively assessing and managing risks with young people, regularly re-evaluating support plans
* Building local partnerships within the community to support mental health recovery and implement preventative strategies
* Keeping up-to-date with current knowledge and advancements in mental health care for young adults
* Following health and safety guidelines, including the Lone Worker Policy and risk assessments
* Ensuring compliance with the Equality Act and other relevant legislation
We are looking for a professional with a qualification in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Nursing, or a relevant field, and experience of working with young people with mental health problems. You will need to have caseload management, initial assessment, and risk assessment skills, as well as an understanding of Recovery principles and service user involvement.
