Job Title: Portfolio Manager - External Managed Investments
Job Summary:
Border to Coast Pensions Partnership is seeking an experienced Investment Professional to join our External Managed Investments team. As a Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for leading the due diligence and ongoing monitoring of external manager relationships, with a focus on delivering high-quality investment solutions to our Partner Funds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the due diligence process for external manager relationships, including performance evaluation and risk assessment
- Develop and maintain relationships with external managers, including quarterly meetings and regular communication
- Conduct thorough research on external managers, including their investment strategies, risk management practices, and performance metrics
- Provide recommendations to the investment team on external manager selection and ongoing monitoring
- Collaborate with the investment team to develop and implement investment strategies that meet the needs of our Partner Funds
Requirements:
- Investment Management qualification (such as CFA) and 4-6 years of relevant experience in manager research and oversight
- Strong understanding of asset classes and economic fundamentals
- Excellent relationship management skills and ability to take the initiative
- Knowledge of Bloomberg and other portfolio management tools (such as Python and PowerBI) is desirable
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programmes (particularly Excel)
