Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Oversee and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Client Engagement: Anticipate and respond to client needs, ensuring a superior level of service.
  • Technical Proficiency: Prepare and review VAT returns, management accounts, consolidations, and cash flows.
  • Project Coordination: Manage multiple deadlines effectively while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Service Excellence: Uphold the firm’s reputation by consistently meeting and surpassing client expectations.

Requirements, Skills, and Experience:
  • Team Orientation: A proactive, hands-on approach with confidence in managing shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Naturally organized with a sharp eye for detail and precision.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, Xero, Dext, and QuickBooks.
    • Strong knowledge of VAT regulations.
    • Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping, VAT, and management accounts.
  • Qualifications:
    • Currently pursuing ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualifications.
    • Alternatively, qualified by experience (QBE).
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a small to medium-sized practice.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, complemented by strong numeracy and analytical skills.

    • Assistant Managers & Managers: 25 days plus 8 bank holidays.
    • Other Roles: 20 days plus 8 bank holidays.

    • Initial office-based work followed by a transition to a hybrid model with 3 days in the office per week.
