We are seeking an experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our highly regarded team at the Woodlands Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in York. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our physiotherapy service.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a purpose-built 27-bed unit, offering specialist Level 2 neurological rehabilitation as well as long-term care and support for patients with complex neurological needs. Our team provides specialist treatment to patients with physical and cognitive impairments resulting from acquired/traumatic brain injury and other neurological conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform advanced neurological and respiratory physiotherapy assessments and treatment to patients, often with diverse, complex, or multiple pathologies and presentations.
- Assist our Lead to develop and manage the physiotherapy service and staff.
- Work as an autonomous practitioner to formulate a treatment plan and management programme according to assessment findings and to develop and maintain high standards of patient care.
- Liaise with family, carers, and significant others where appropriate to ensure patients' needs are met to a high standard.
- Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, members of the multi-disciplinary care team, and senior professional and managerial staff.
- HCPC registration.
- Experience within neurorehabilitation and respiratory settings.
- Previous experience working with tracheostomy patients.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS.
