Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Job Summary:

This role sits within our specialist Cladding Remediation department, established to assess and remediate medium and high-rise buildings to address fire safety concerns within legacy developments. Responsible for developing and progressing various cladding remediation projects through all aspects of the design, planning, and construction stages. Responsible and accountable for the projects' programme delivery and reporting in line with internal cladding remediation governance process and external government reporting targets.

The scope of the role is to manage multiple projects through various stages in the project lifecycle, such as design, planning, H&S, contract negotiation, and construction, to meet stakeholder and business expectations. Where we do not retain any legal interest in the property, you will be required to work with third-party building owners to procure suitable remediation schemes in the most appropriate and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Leadership & Business Management
  2. Responsibility and accountability for project budget control and financial delivery of the Cladding Remediation projects.
  3. Effective and proactive communications supporting internal comms teams and dealings with freeholders and management companies to ensure delivery of a safe, fair, and proportionate remedial solution to buildings.
  4. Effective contract and scope negotiation with design teams, contractors, freeholders, and management companies.
  5. Ensure awareness of political, regulatory, industry-related, and environmental developments which may impact delivery and priorities as necessary.
  6. Responsible for ensuring coordinated media management through internal/corporate communications teams.
  7. Managing and developing trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, driving clear communication throughout the Group and Business Unit teams.
  8. Ensure risk is fully understood and managed, and actioned to the appropriate time frames to deliver project objectives.
  9. Clearly define roles and responsibilities across all consultants and contractors to ensure project objectives are met efficiently.
  10. Undertake any other duties as required by the Snr Technical Project Manager, including, Director of Cladding Remediation / Group Technical Director.
Requirements:
  1. Degree or professional qualification in property, development, construction, or a related field (or equivalent work experience and a clear plan for achieving the necessary qualifications).
  2. Proven track record within the construction industry, with experience gained in working with developers, contractors, and other related partners.
  3. Strong understanding of residential construction, with a proven track record of delivering high-profile, complex construction projects to time, cost, and quality standards.
  4. Proven track record of managing a range of stakeholder relationships, including local authorities, landowners, developers, and contractors.
  5. Strong networker, totally committed to community involvement.
  6. High standard of financial literacy & analytical skills.
