We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (Child) to join our team at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle. As a Paediatric Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to children and young people, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate high standards of nursing care to children, young people, and their families.
- Contribute to the operational and strategic management of the unit, actively participating in the development and implementation of quality initiatives.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive nursing care to the paediatric population of North Cumbria.
- Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide education and training to patients, families, and staff.
- Registered Nurse (Child) with RSCN or equivalent qualification.
- Safeguarding training level.
- Further relevant development to postgraduate diploma or equivalent.
- Current relevant acute child health nursing experience.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Preceptor/mentor for student nurses and junior staff.
- Nursing children with special needs.
- Ward management experience.
- A competitive salary of £29,970 to £36,483 per annum pro rata.
- A 27-day holiday scheme rising to 33 after 10 years.
