About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Practice Manager to join our friendly Practice team at Redwood House Surgery. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice, including HR, finance, and administrative tasks.
Main Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensuring the practice is compliant with NHS, information governance, CQC, and health-related requirements
- Recommending improvements to administrative systems and processes
- Ensuring staff are trained to provide cover for all administrative functions and patient queries
- Communicating with staff and patients, including complaints handling and patient newsletters
- Supporting practice management with new projects and developments
- Ensuring the practice maximizes patient healthcare and achieves maximum QOF achievement
- Developing processes to aid with recruitment and HR functions
- Reviewing and maintaining up-to-date policies and practice administration
- Organizing staff rotas and coordinating holiday requests
- Ensuring the work environment is clean, tidy, and well-organized

Redwood House Surgery is a 2-Partner Practice with over 6,000 patients, situated on the outskirts of Maidenhead. We are committed to providing the highest level of patient care and have developed innovative ways of working to maximize clinical time and offer the best patient services.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have experience in a management role in General Practice, excellent communication and leadership skills, and good IT skills, including experience of working in EMIS Wen and knowledge of QOF, Arden, and LCS. Desirable qualifications include experience in overseeing CQC inspections and working with Primary Care Networks.
