About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our Identity and Access Management (IAM) team at Barclays Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and improving software solutions that provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations.
  • Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
  • Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.

  • Consult on complex issues, provide advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies and procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
