About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Engineer to provide engineering support to the Project Manager and Site Management team. The successful candidate will have experience in a Senior Site Engineer role and possess strong communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant subject and be familiar with reinforced concrete and setting-out. They will also have experience working with main contractors and a full driving license.

The Senior Site Engineer will be responsible for undertaking surveying and setting out, checking drawings and quantities, and scheduling materials for ordering. They will also plan work and efficiently organize site operations to meet agreed deadlines.

The successful candidate will be a team player and have good communication skills. They will also be able to liaise with consultants and sub-contracts as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake surveying and setting out

  • Supervise and monitor site labour force
  • Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are met
  • Ensure quality records are maintained
  • Resolve technical difficulties and other problems
  • Arrange testing of materials
  • Undertake testing and calibration of instruments
  • Keep a Site Diary
  • Interact with other members of the construction site team
  • Liaise with other function/departmental managers
  • Introduce improvements and innovation

Technical Competencies

  • Demonstrate previous experience in a Senior Site Engineer role
  • Degree educated in a relevant subject
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Health and Safety Induction Including Management System
  • CSR/SAFEPASS/CSCS Card
  • First Aid at Work
