Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Delivery Director to lead our project delivery team at McCabe & Barton. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining best practices, developing an environment that allows project managers to thrive, and overseeing all project delivery across the group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain best practices in project delivery
  • Develop an environment that fosters project manager growth and development
  • Oversee all project delivery across the group
  • Work closely with the PMO function to ensure high standards of governance and health are maintained across the business
  • Manage resources and budgets effectively, with direct budget responsibilities in excess of £30m
  • Oversee a wide range of project and programme workstreams
  • Develop robust portfolio dashboards and KPIs
  • Collaborate with the PMO function to define processes and documentation, and ensure adequate controls are in place
  • Support project managers in their projects, providing cover when required and picking up any aspect of the project when needed
  • Challenge peers and managers when processes and procedures do not meet expectations
  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and influencing cross-functional departmental leaders
  • Build and maintain a high-performing team, working comfortably in a highly collaborative setting
Requirements
  • Significant experience in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
  • Experience managing large teams of project managers, with a proven track record of nurturing and developing talent
  • Excellent background in resource and budget management, with direct budget responsibilities in excess of £30m
  • Experience overseeing a wide range of project and programme workstreams
  • Previous experience developing robust portfolio dashboards and KPIs
  • Proven experience working collaboratively with the PMO function to define processes and documentation, and ensure adequate controls are in place
  • Ability to support project managers in their projects, providing cover when required and picking up any aspect of the project when needed
  • Comfortable challenging peers and managers when processes and procedures do not meet expectations
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional departmental leaders
  • A team-builder and team player, able to work comfortably in a highly collaborative setting
