Business Development Manager - Marine

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our dynamic team specializing in sales for our CUK Engines division. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing you to collaborate with colleagues across various Cummins locations within the UK.

Your Impact:
  • Market Segmentation and Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize high-potential market segments and products. Leverage data analysis to inform strategic decision-making and drive growth initiatives.
  • Customer Engagement and Insights: Actively participate in industry events and networking opportunities to gain valuable insights into market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
  • Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the marine sector. Develop targeted account plans and build strong relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Solution Development and Proposal Creation: Contribute to the development of compelling business proposals that address customer challenges and showcase the value proposition of our CUK Engines solutions.
  • Market Trend Communication: Stay abreast of emerging industry trends and effectively communicate insights to internal stakeholders to shape sales strategies and product development initiatives.
Your Qualifications:
  • Proven Sales Acumen: Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and achieving business targets within the marine industry.
  • Strategic Thinking and Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct market research, analyze data, develop pricing strategies, and make informed recommendations.
  • Communication and Relationship Management Expertise: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong customer relationships and effectively negotiate deals.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is highly desirable.
Education and Experience:

A Bachelor's degree in marketing, sales, technical fields, or a related discipline is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or marketing roles within the engine maritime industry is essential.
