Verification Software Developer

We are a managed service provider partnering with an aerospace company to find a Verification Software Engineer for a long-term contract. The company manufactures revolutionary technology for advanced air mobility and offers a great work environment. The initial contract is 6 months with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop test cases for unit testing and hardware-in-the-loop environments.
  • Perform tests, capture results, and log resolution activities.
  • Assist in producing the software test plan to meet project timing goals.
  • Peer review artefacts produced during system development.
  • Support communication between software development and project teams.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders and coordinate cross-team activities.
  • Follow the approved software development process for Design Assurance Level A of RTCA DO-178C.

Requirements:

  • Degree in software or electrical engineering.
  • Previous experience as an engineer in embedded software development and testing for safety-critical products.
  • Experience with C programming language.
  • Scripting experience, e.g., in Python.
  • Familiarity with model-based development methods and auto-coding tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile software development and DevOps methodologies.
  • Experience with requirements and lifecycle management tools.

Compensation: Competitive rates (Inside IR35)
