Job Title: Science Laboratory Technician

Salary: £85 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:
  • Prepare and set up equipment for science experiments and demonstrations
  • Assist teachers in delivering practical science lessons
  • Maintain and clean laboratory equipment and facilities
  • Organise and manage stock levels of laboratory supplies
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the laboratory
Required Qualifications:
  • GCSEs or equivalent in Science subjects
  • Previous experience working in a laboratory setting
  • Knowledge of health and safety protocols in a scientific environment
Education:

A-Level qualifications in Science or equivalent

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Science Technician

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Strong practical skills in handling scientific equipment
  • Good organisational and time management abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Higher education qualification in a Science-related field
  • Health and Safety certification
Working Conditions:

Key Responsibilities: As a Science Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and setting up equipment for science experiments and demonstrations, assisting teachers in delivering practical science lessons, maintaining and cleaning laboratory equipment and facilities, organising and managing stock levels of laboratory supplies, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in the laboratory.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, you will need to have GCSEs or equivalent in Science subjects, previous experience working in a laboratory setting, and knowledge of health and safety protocols in a scientific environment. You will also need to have A-Level qualifications in Science or equivalent, a minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Science Technician, strong practical skills in handling scientific equipment, good organisational and time management abilities, and excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications: A Higher education qualification in a Science-related field and Health and Safety certification are preferred qualifications for this role.

Working Conditions: This is a full-time position with regular working hours, working in a laboratory setting within an educational institution. You may be required to handle potentially hazardous materials.
