Quality Assurance Specialist

As a vital member of the Quality Assurance team, you will be instrumental in upholding the standards of manufactured and supplied components and materials.
This role requires working on a rotating shift schedule to align with production needs.
Shift Patterns:
Shift One: Monday to Thursday 6am - 2pm, Friday 6am - 1pm
Shift Two: Monday to Thursday 2pm - 10pm, Friday 11:30am - 5pm
Responsibilities:- Incoming Goods Inspection: Ensure all received materials comply with the specified standards.
- Shipping Inspection: Confirm the quality of components prior to dispatch.
- Production Quality Checks: Execute initial and final inspections according to established specifications.
- Thorough Inspection: Conduct detailed evaluations based on inspection criteria.
- Examine both partially and fully assembled products to verify adherence to engineering specifications.
- Perform routine inspections throughout production areas to ensure compliance with standards.
- Identify and document non-conformance issues during inspections.
- Work collaboratively with the Inspection team leader, process engineers, and quality personnel to develop corrective actions.
- Provide inspection and measurement assistance as required.
- Review and finalize supplier-generated First Article Inspections (FAIs).
- Compile First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) for internal processes to demonstrate compliance.
- Maintain and update relevant inspection data within company systems.
- Assist in enhancing systems to boost the efficiency of the inspection department.
- Help create work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for uniform inspection practices.
- Oversee the condition of inspection tools and equipment.
- Assist in the management and calibration of inspection devices.
- Contribute to the innovation of new inspection methods and capabilities.
- Comprehensive background in inspection processes.
- Completion of a recognized Engineering apprenticeship.
- Experience in organizations certified to AS9100rev D / ISO9001:2015 standards.
- Familiarity with AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Proficient in the use of CMM and traditional inspection tools.
- Knowledge of CAD systems (e.g., Solid View) for 3D component visualization.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing and familiarity with automotive core tools.
- Training in AS9100rev D, ISO9001:2015, and ISO14001:2015 standards.
- Internal auditor training.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-driven and capable of working independently.
- Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a flexible approach.

- Organized and methodical, with a focus on completion.
- Adaptable to change and new challenges.
