As a Probation Caseworker, you will be responsible for conducting child safeguarding investigations, providing expert advice and guidance, and collaborating with multi-agency partners to ensure the safety and protection of children.
Key Responsibilities- Child Centred Approach: Promote the wellbeing and safeguarding of children above other factors, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard.
- Safeguarding Advice and Support: Provide experienced advice and guidance to colleagues, customers, and other agencies, sharing information as necessary to ensure the safety of children.
- Case Management: Lead safeguarding cases in line with national legislation, guidance, and Army Cadet Regulations, making sound professional judgments to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Professional Development: Participate in regular professional supervision and engage in opportunities for continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices and legislation.
- Data Protection: Understand and advise on relevant data protection legislation and regulations, ensuring the safe handling of personal data in safeguarding casework.
We are looking for an experienced Safeguarding Caseworker with a strong background in child protection intervention and risk assessment. Ideally, you will hold a Diploma, Degree in a relevant subject area, or have experience as a Social Worker, Nurse, Police Officer, Youth Offending Officer, or Probation Officer. If you have previous experience in a safeguarding children's role or sound knowledge of legal frameworks, we encourage you to apply.
