Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals, including manual handling, bathing, shaving, dressing, and toileting.
  • Administer medication in accordance with policies and procedures, including logging, checking, and recording.
  • Support individuals with daily living tasks, such as laundry and cleaning, to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Prepare and serve meals, taking into account individual dietary needs and preferences.
  • Escort and support individuals in the community, promoting independence and social interaction.
  • Record and maintain accurate records of individual care plans and activities.

Requirements:

  • Experience of caring for individuals with complex needs, preferably in a similar environment.
  • SVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in care and support.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
