Senior Cable Engineer Job Description

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Cable Engineer to join our Energy Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing electrical substation and cable systems for various projects across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical substation and cable systems for HVDC interconnectors, windfarms, and other renewable energy projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with international standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain technical knowledge of cable design and installation, including CYMCAP software and international standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Contribute to the development of new business opportunities and growth strategies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Professional registration as a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council and ICE is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical substation design and cable installation, with a focus on HVDC interconnectors and renewable energy projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of cable design and installation, including CYMCAP software and international standards.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
