Senior Estimator - Flat & Pitch Roofing Specialist

Compensation: £55,000 - £65,000 + Flexible Work Arrangements

About the Company: Our client is a leading provider of roofing services, specializing in both flat and pitch roofing solutions.

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing tenders, undertaking take-offs, and attending handover meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Estimating and Tendering: Prepare accurate estimates and tenders for construction projects, utilizing expertise in flat and pitch roofing.
  2. Take-Offs and Data Analysis: Conduct thorough take-offs from construction drawings, utilizing software such as Bluebeam, and analyze data to inform estimating decisions.
  3. Project Coordination: Attend handover meetings with surveying, design, and management teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  4. Project Values: Manage projects with values ranging from £200,000 to £4 million.
  5. Collaboration and Support: Assist the document controller in gathering quotes from subcontractors and suppliers, and provide technical submittals for secured projects.

Requirements:

  1. Estimating Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in estimating for flat and pitch roofing projects.
  2. Pitch Roofing Knowledge: Essential knowledge of pitch roofing systems and techniques.
  3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in software such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
  4. Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent professional telephone skills and a smart appearance.
