Job Description

Job Title: Field Applications Engineer

Job Summary:

Wind River is seeking a highly skilled Field Applications Engineer to join our team. As a Field Applications Engineer, you will work closely with account managers on named accounts and strive to become the trusted technical advisor to our customers by understanding their business needs and addressing those needs through Wind River's products, services, and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with account managers on named accounts to understand customer business needs and provide technical solutions.
  • Develop and execute account plans to increase Wind River market share with each customer.
  • Manage the technical needs of accounts utilizing all available resources to effectively address customer product lifecycle needs.
  • Collaborate with EMEA sales teams on best practices, sales enablement, and tools to effectively execute company goals and revenue targets.
  • Work with marketing teams to create strategic campaigns, providing feedback on previous campaigns and asset effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Field Account Teams and Inside Account Executives to build and execute outbound prospecting strategies tailored to account/vertical market needs.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of software development or solutions architecting experience in the following areas:
  • Experience of embedded Linux is essential.
  • Programming skills in C or C++ are essential, and experience or interest in Python, Rust, Ada is also desirable.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety-critical software development standards (DO-178C / ED-12C, IEC 61058, etc.)
  • Knowledge of DevOps software development methodologies is desirable, including an understanding of tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related area.
  • Fluency in English required, with proficient English language skills enabling business discussion and dialogue at a professional level.
