About the Role: Our partnered Secondary Education institution in Essex is looking for candidates to take on the role of Cover Supervisors. Successful applicants will have the chance to engage in daily supply work or longer-term fixed contracts.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be tasked with leading classes of approximately 25 students in the absence of the regular teacher.
You will oversee lessons across a variety of secondary school subjects; however, you are not required to be a subject expert in every area. The lesson plans will always be prepared in advance.
Your responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor include facilitating student learning, managing classroom behavior, maintaining accurate attendance records, and providing a comprehensive handover to the absent teacher.
Successful candidates will be adaptable, flexible, motivated, confident, and organized, with a genuine passion for education and a commitment to supporting young learners.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience within a Secondary Education setting prior to pursuing Initial Teacher Training.
While prior experience in a Secondary School is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite. For those new to the role, a thorough Cover Supervisor Training Program will be provided to equip you with the necessary skills.
