Job Summary
This exciting role will support Abcam's Regulatory Compliance Senior Specialist & Department Manager in ensuring compliance with global chemical regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for authoring and maintaining product safety data sheets (SDS) and hazard data for inclusion on product labels.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate compliant SDS using Abcam's dedicated SDS authoring application, WERCS
- Maintain existing product SDS, ensuring updates to hazards and/or legislation are implemented
- Support management of the team dedicated inbox, receiving customer & internal SDS requests & compliance enquiries
- Carry out routine governance and oversight checks, particularly for antibody, protein, peptides & lysates portfolios
- General Regulatory Compliance Team support
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of Excel and other MS office applications, as well as experience working with large datasets. Excellent attention to detail and written and verbal communication skills are essential for resolving internal & external product data queries in a timely manner.
A confident individual with the ability to work independently, prioritise and process large amounts of data in a logical and efficient manner is required. Familiarity with global chemical regulations (EU CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging), GHS, REACH) and experience in SDS authoring would be advantageous.
Qualifications
A degree in Chemistry, Life Science, or a related field is required. Knowledge of the SDS authoring application WERCS would be advantageous.
