This Refrigeration Technician role is being advertised on behalf of our client, a leading facilities management provider.

Established in 1985, the company has expanded to become one of the largest privately owned integrated facilities management firms globally.

Job Purpose:
This pivotal role involves executing both scheduled and emergency maintenance across various locations. You will serve as the primary contact for all maintenance activities within your designated sites. The objective of this position is to perform technical repairs and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM). You will ensure that all technical and compliance documentation is consistently completed and maintained.

All tasks will be executed to the highest standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, adhering to the company's Health and Safety policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timelines and ensure all necessary documentation is accurately filled out according to established procedures.
• Respond promptly and positively to service requests from the Helpdesk, assessing job requirements and executing repairs as necessary.
• Prioritize maintenance and repair tasks to meet agreed timelines and response expectations.
• Order spare parts following established procedures.
• Identify irreparable faults in equipment and promptly inform the Line Manager, providing recommendations for suitable replacements.
• Ensure compliance documentation is consistently completed and up to date.
• Conduct surveys and prepare reports as required by management.
• Perform minor modifications and installations within your technical expertise in accordance with current specifications.
• Attend training sessions as necessary to ensure your skills remain current with technical advancements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Several years of experience in refrigeration, particularly in supermarket environments.
• Flexibility in working hours is essential, along with the ability to be on call for 13 weeks each year.
• You must be a fully qualified Refrigeration Technician with the Refrigeration Handling C&G 2079 qualification (Fgas Qualification).
• A NVQ / C&G Level 2 in Refrigeration or equivalent is required.
• A full, valid UK driving license is necessary.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings.
• Skills in equipment diagnostics and repairs.
• Capability to work at heights and competence in using access equipment.
