Position: Lead Electrical Production Trainer

Location: On-site role in a dynamic environment.

Compensation: Competitive salary range of £35,000 - £36,000, complemented by an 18% shift allowance and comprehensive benefits.

Work Schedule: The role involves a rotating shift pattern, consisting of four 8-hour shifts and one 5-hour shift weekly. Current shifts include Early (starting at 06:00) and Afternoon (starting at 14:00).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive academic and vocational training focused on Electrical Panel wiring, adhering to both company and industry standards.
  • Incorporate innovative teaching methods, including e-learning, to enhance the training experience.
  • Conduct internal assessments and audits for trainees and existing personnel regularly.
  • Assist in recruitment initiatives and participate in interview processes.
  • Represent the company positively, ensuring compliance with current standards in all professional activities.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to align with industry standards and expectations.
  • Perform additional duties as required, promoting equality of opportunity for all trainees and staff.
  • Ensure training content remains relevant and up-to-date with the latest industry standards.
  • Support trainees throughout their development and collaborate with various departments to facilitate a seamless training experience.
  • Uphold health and safety standards consistently.
  • Provide additional support on production systems as necessary.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in all systems and an understanding of their complexities.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an Electrical apprenticeship or possession of City and Guilds part 3, HNC, HND, or higher qualifications.
  • Strong wiring skills, including proficiency in lead-free soldering and panel wiring.
  • Ability to interpret wiring schematics and technical drawings.
  • Competence in troubleshooting and implementing corrective measures.
  • Proficient PC skills.
  • A highly committed team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Comfortable delivering training to individuals at all levels.
  • Experience in panel wiring and a solid understanding of electronics and PLCs.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in leak detection.
  • Skills in electronic assembly.
  • Possession of a valid driving license.
  • Experience within the semiconductor industry.
  • Familiarity with OI PLASMA systems.
