About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Harvester. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, supporting our chefs to deliver exceptional food quality and service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up the kitchen for service, ensuring all equipment and supplies are ready for the day.
  • Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation to maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Support the chefs in expediting food, managing inventory, and maintaining stock levels.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the kitchen by being proactive, flexible, and willing to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant or pub setting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
