Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Field Service Technician to join our team at ZipRecruiter. As a key member of our operations and maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and availability of our solar plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take primary responsibility for solar plant performance, optimization, and equipment availability.
  • Perform pre-planned and reactive maintenance works across our solar farms, including electrical maintenance, solar panel cleaning, and HV maintenance (if qualified).
  • Effectively resolve work tickets and report issues to your line manager.
  • Liaise with internal and external teams, including in-house LV/HV personnel, grounds teams, and external subcontractors when required.
  • Provide mentoring and training to junior technicians as needed.
  • Participate in our on-call rota for non-working hours, including weekends and Bank Holidays, with on-call allowances.
Requirements
  • Experience in industrial or utility-scale solar is preferred, but an industrial electrician background is also of interest.
  • A City and Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical Engineering, Installation, Testing & Inspection, or similar electrical course.
  • A full UK driving license is essential due to the remote nature of our sites.
