- Execute loading, transport, and unloading tasks as designated by the Depot Manager or Logistics Planner.
- Maintain a safe and efficient work environment in accordance with company, client, and contractor safety protocols.
- Conduct daily safety inspections on vehicles and trailers in compliance with legal requirements.
- Represent the company positively by being courteous to clients and fellow road users.
- Inform the line manager of any incidents affecting your driving licence status.
- Attend mandatory safety briefings and comprehend the relevant context.
- Participate in required drug and alcohol testing.
- Report any vehicle defects and monitor safety performance.
- Adhere to the Incident Plan of the client or main contractor, ensuring all incidents are documented.
- Follow all control measures specified in risk assessments related to assigned tasks.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or near misses witnessed and cooperate fully with investigations.
- Utilize designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, maintaining it according to provided instructions and reporting any loss or damage to the line manager.
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies and procedures within the framework of the Company's Safety Management System.
- Perform any additional duties as directed by the line manager for which you possess the necessary competence.
Essential Skills:
- Thorough understanding of safe loading, securing, transporting, and unloading of loads.
- Strong awareness and adherence to safety procedures, with a focus on risk management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of drivers' hours and working hours regulations.
Job Types:

Compensation:
£19.00 per hour
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime opportunities available
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years in low loader/plant hire (mandatory)
Licensing/Certification:
- Class 1 licence (mandatory)
- Driver Qualification Card (mandatory)
