Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hyper-V Specialist to join our IT Infrastructure team at Ekco. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing VM's, infrastructure deployment, SAN storage, and utilizing various command-line interfaces (CLI/PowerShell).

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure delivery of any activity to the highest professional standards.
  • Ensure resolutions are achieved within SLAs.
  • Ensure a good relationship between the client and Ekco.
  • Perform daily infrastructure checks, escalating major issues to senior engineers or the Service Desk.
  • Work with the Infrastructure Team to ensure security, reliability, and availability of all hosted services.
  • Monitor and test backup data for potential issues, identifying solutions and collaborating with technical experts.
  • Assist in maintaining client satisfaction within the Infrastructure team.
  • Ensure the achievement of targeted KPIs.
  • Update the Knowledge base with problem/solution findings.
  • Adhere to incident management and change processes.
  • Design, deploy, and manage Hyper-V clusters.
  • Integrate and manage SAN Storage solutions within the Hyper-V environment.
  • Create, manage, and deploy SCVMM.
  • Develop and manage automation processes within the Hyper-V environment.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams for seamless integration and operation of infrastructure systems.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for SAN environments.
Essential Criteria
  • Proven experience with SCVMM and Hyper-V cluster management.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and deploying storage solutions with Hyper-V.
  • Hyper-V Deployments, Setup, Configuration, and Fail-over Cluster Configurations.
  • Proficient in PowerShell and scripting.
  • 1+ years supporting a multi-site network environment, including LAN, WAN, VPN, Microsoft, SAN, and DR Systems.
  • Ideal experience working for an IT service provider in a professional services environment.
  • Able to gather relevant information systematically to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Experience with monitoring systems, including Azure Arc, Azure Recovery Service Vault for DR and replication.
