We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Supervisor to join our team at VGC Personnel. As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our rail projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and control all mechanical site activities to ensure efficient execution, adherence to specifications, and timely completion within budget.
- Collaborate with the site manager to maintain a safe working environment for all employees, supply chain partners, and visitors.
- Ensure accurate recording of relevant health and safety documents and verify that all necessary documents accurately describe the work to be performed.
- Supervise work to guarantee compliance with method statements and work instructions from the project manager.
- Record progress of works on record drawings or other suitable means when required.
- Inspect and record incoming materials and their documentation when necessary.
- Record the location of materials within the works where traceability is required.
- Identify and record non-conformance and improvement opportunities, and agree on actions with the person in charge of the works.
- Recognize the importance of health and safety considerations in all tasks and contribute to ensuring safe working environments for all.
- Previous experience in a Mechanical Supervisor position.
- Proven experience working within large Civils projects, with rail experience being highly desirable.
- Mechanical or industry experience is essential.
