Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer Job Description

Service Care Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to join their Instrumentation Department in the Birmingham area.

This role involves working with a highly skilled installation, maintenance, and calibration team within a lower-tier COMAH facility.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full life-cycle management of chemical plant instrumentation projects, including conceptualisation, design, and commissioning.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing instrumentation projects from conceptualisation to commissioning
  • Modifying plant instrumentation systems via a management of change system
  • Coordinating with the E&I Manager and other stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards

Requirements:

  • Several years' experience managing instrumentation projects in the chemical process or similar regulated industry sector
  • In-depth knowledge of instrumentation documents, including Loop Drawings, I/O Lists, P&ID's, and Network architecture Diagrams
  • Excellent communication and project management skills

This is a days-based role, working 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm.
